'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback
Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden significant achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
